I worked for KFC back in the day and personally met Mr Sanders,very nice man. He came back to the kitchen and introduced him self. He even made some chicken with us. Because we were the #1 store in the area.

Yes, Colonel Harland Sanders was involved in a fatal shootout in 1931 in Corbin, Kentucky, where he shot and wounded a business rival, Matt Stewart, after Stewart shot and killed one of Sanders' Shell gas station employees, Robert Gibson, during a dispute over advertising signs. The event, which left Sanders facing charges initially, ultimately ended the competition and freed him to expand his food service, leading to KFC.

He Sure Did. The Colonel shot and Killed a Man who owed the Gas Station that was his Competitor. That man was Vandalizing the Colonel's New Signs. Then shot and wounded the Man Sanders was with checking the Damage. Harland Shot back and Killed him.

Kentucky fried used to be the best chicken you could ever taste. That all changed in the early 1970's had a different taste, I believe they started the modern age of raising the bird in tiny cages and electrocuted bird, and many other issues. It's all devolved to what they sell now is barely edible. May as well be gas station chicken.
