The school taught this to my 3rd grader without notifying me. Do parents have a say anymore?

Homeschool if you want an educated child. Public school is getting to be for the poors and produce indoctrinated not educated children.

Don’t blame teachers . We are just the delivery method. Blaming teachers for curriculum decisions is like going to the dmv and blaming them for potholes.

That's the liberal left that has taken over the whole education system. It got a real foothold. Just after I graduated from high school in the early 80s, teachers are more concerned about indoctrinating the kids than teaching then the 3 R's. School curriculum should only be the basic education until at least high school, most kids can't even identify each of the US states, not to mention the countries of the world! On high school, graduation requirement should be to pass the same test that all legal immigrants have to pass for citizenship!

Could you provide what the homework was? Hard to say if it was education or indoctrination without seeing it.

that's on you as a parent. my child's curriculum is emailed to me. I have an app that I can check, as a responsible parent, to see what my 4.0 GPA advanced placement child is doing. would you prefer your child to receive an education or were you looking for cheap daycare? there's always homeschooling!
