6 Alleged Chicago Gang Members Indicted in 13 Murders, CTA Bus Shooting, and RICO Case Federal prosecutors have indicted six alleged members and associates of the Faceworld street gang, accusing them of running a violent criminal organization responsible for at least 13 murders, multiple attempted murders, armed robberies, carjackings, and shootings on the South Side of Chicago. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the violence included a shooting on a CTA bus and a July 2020 attack where gunmen opened fire on mourners at a funeral near 79th and Carpenter, wounding at least 15 people. Prosecutors also tied the gang to the 2019 murders of two young Walmart employees who were shot while sitting in a car after work. Investigators say the group used threats and intimidation to silence witnesses, promoted their crimes on social media, and trafficked cocaine and heroin in Chicago and Iowa. All six defendants are in custody and face racketeering conspiracy charges, with some eligible for life sentences or the death penalty if convicted. #Chicago #BreakingNews #CrimeNews #FederalIndictment #GangViolence #RICO #CTA #SouthSide #Justice #PublicSafety #ChaunceyDatGuy
