On the longest night of the year, Eugene neighbors gathered under the Interstate 105 off-ramp, braving rain and cold to remember more than 60 people who died while experiencing homelessness in Lane County this year. The vigil, led by Black Thistle Street Aid, wasn’t just about reading names—it was about giving space for grief, sharing food, and standing together in solidarity. As sweeps increase and winter deepens, many feel the crisis is growing. How can we better support our unhoused neighbors and make sure no one is forgotten? #Safety #Eugene #Homelessness
