Marge Gunderson (Fargo): She is the ultimate pro. She deduces every single detail of the crime almost immediately, stays perfectly calm through the whole investigation, and then just goes back to her normal life. Teddy and Sid (Companion): While Jack Quaid’s character is busy rambling about a robot "going rogue," these IT guys see right through it. The second they’re back in the van, they call him out for obviously modding it and predict his arrest before he even knows what hit him. Officer Jimenez (Eddington): It only takes her five minutes at the station to figure out the truth: Pedro Pascal’s character was taken out by a political rival with a vendetta and heavy firepower. Pure efficiency. Thomas Bruce White Sr. (Killers of the Flower Moon): As the first real law enforcement officer to step in, he doesn't miss a beat. He immediately unravels the scheme to kill the Osage for money. J.K. Simmons (Burn After Reading): This is the funniest version of the trope. He doesn't even care about the plot because he and his team have been tracking the "secret" activities the whole time. They just chose not to act because the entire situation was too insignificant for their level of operations. #TopCharacterTropes #CompetencePorn #Fargo #Movies
