Did you know there is no documented case in United States history where Native Americans carried out genocide against white people, and no documented case where Black Americans carried out genocide against white people either. Not once. Not ever. There were conflicts, rebellions, battles, and acts of violence, yes, but genocide requires intent, system, and power to erase an entire people. Native nations were resisting invasion. Black Americans were resisting enslavement and oppression. Neither group had the political, military, or legal power to carry out racial extermination. Meanwhile, genocide, forced removal, and racialized violence against both groups were written into law, policy, and practice. History isn’t a vibes conversation. It’s a paper trail.
