You shouldn't hate on the actors portraying someone, they are after all following a script. Blame the writers for not fact checking before production .

Took my mom to watch it, since we grew up listening to this Song Sung blue, the movie was much better then we ever thought it would be !!! We thought we were just going in to see them play Neil Diamonds song, we got way more !! Both Hugh & Kate did a great job !!!! I’d go see it again !!!
