Thank you for the finely written analysis about someone being Christian and the rapture of the church. Altho I do like the way you’ve explained everything I still do not necessarily believe the rapture is accurate or true. Personally I don’t believe it’s a salvation issue, but simply one of many doctrines worthy of at least good discussion and hopefully not hated debate. Where am I at exactly on the rapture? I’m not sure. Somewhere in the middle, but I am leaning towards no rapture. Jesus prayed to the Father asking that we not be removed from the world, but rather be protected from the evil one. Noah didn’t escape the flood. He endured thru the flood. Also consider: what would make any believer today honestly think they are any more worthy or privileged to escape the horrors of tribulation when 50+ millions of Christians or followers of Jesus were martyred & killed before us centuries ago during The Dark Ages? They didn’t escape anything.

Too good to be true. Eggs are around $8 a dozen in many places. Nowhere in US eggs can be that cheap? Who needs 30 eggs unless you have a huge family? They’ll be outdated if you have a family under 5

The only rapture-like event I can find in the scriptures is when the righteous will be caught up to meet Christ at His coming. I don’t see anywhere that says they will be taken away for any period of time or that they will avoid tribulation. The scriptures even specify that at that event, it will be the dead that are resurrected. Christ comes after all the tribulation, specifically to end it and ending the battle of Armageddon. Additionally, since the scriptures are clear that when He comes again, He will rein as King of Kings for 1000 years, we have to assume that life will go on, though much more peacefully. I think that instead of waiting for a rapture, we should be looking forward to Christ’s return. This is only one area where tradition differs from what the scriptures actually say.
