When my died passed my younger brother was executer of his estate. He did everything against my dads wishes, they had a strained relationship , and basically robbed the rest of us blind. We don't speak anymore but it's true the trust was broken. Not to mention when he went through a very difficult divorce I was always there helping him. It hurts.

I truly hate to sound like a broken record but when Trump brainwashed half of America I looked around me and people who I loved and trusted for decades were expressing hate and violence against anyone who didn’t vote for Trump. They were wearing Trump’s hats that said, “Make America Great Again”.Then these same people starting interrupting conversations over politics. They wouldn’t or couldn’t talk about Trump and what was really going on. Most of my friends were Christians and they didn’t care about Trump’s bankruptcies, dishonesty, cheating, thievery, divorces, convictions, friendships, accusations of thousands of molestations, and rape conviction. I feel most of America is suffering from PSTD. I’ve never had a President who wishes death, starvation and totally destruction for half of America. I didn’t vote for him because for over 60 years he has been a slanderous, mobster, disgusting father, cheating husband, malicious liar, bad business person and a predator.

Wow!! That’s exactly where I am in my life. My husband of 34 years shattered my trust years ago, but I held on, now I am done. I don’t think I’ll ever trust anyone ever as much as I trusted him. I am also a very open, giving person. I get used, oh well. I’m not going to change who I am because most people are assholes. The latest was a close friend of 10 years just ghosted me one day last year. No explanation. My last text to her was, “so you’re just not going to talk to me ever again?” And then let it go. I hadn’t realized how immature she was. Her loss. I am just truly tired of friendships that are not worth my time. How does one meet like minded people?

Sometimes I wonder if it isn't better to just let them go in the beginning. Unfortunately , for us mere mortals, it doesn't work that way. Sometimes the heart wants to hang on, but I really think it's more painful to do that. Everything is different, when hearts are involved.

You always need to take time to really get to know someone before getting too deeply involved with them. He can be friends two things together, but go at your own pace and if he can’t do that or her then you need to move on.

I can relate, sadly, but I can 🙂 like I had friends that I thought were always my friends!! But they let go!🤔
