December’s jobs report is out and it’s a bit of a letdown: only 50,000 nonfarm jobs added, way less than what experts hoped for. The restaurant and bar scene did most of the heavy lifting, while the government barely made a dent. Unemployment barely budged, and average work hours actually dipped.
