Columbia’s getting a major boost in healthcare education—UMKC’s School of Medicine is launching its Physician Assistant program right here, in partnership with Mizzou. This means more local students can train for high-demand medical jobs without leaving mid-Missouri, and it’s a big step toward easing the shortage of healthcare workers in our rural communities.
