Imagine growing up in Akron and seeing two local brothers not just compete, but absolutely dominate world figure skating in the 1950s. Hayes and David Jenkins trained at the Cleveland Skating Club, followed their sister onto the ice, and ended up sweeping Olympic medals for Team USA. Hayes grabbed gold in 1956, then passed the torch to David, who won gold in 1960—while in med school! Both went on to incredible careers beyond the rink, but their story still inspires Northeast Ohio. What do you think it takes for a city to produce such world-class talent? #Sports #AkronPride #FigureSkating
