Luke 9:23 is the manner in which this is achieved.
Luke 9:23, "Then He said to them all, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.'"
The 4 "d's" of descipleship... desire, denial, daily, & direction... a pure heart is an "all in" commitment - mind, body, & Spirit.
