As we know, we have had a potentially active start to winter 2026. The atmospheric pattern has aligned with how things used to be years ago. That said, I believe this hurricane season will be one to watch closely, as it could be detrimental—not only for the coastal U.S. but also for the Caribbean. Last year, many cold fronts saved us from potential impacts, except in Jamaica and Cuba, which were hit. I suspect that protection may not happen this year.
