Matthew 13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like… a bountiful harvest of good seed, it provides for those who seek it and all who are there are equal, having been touched by that which is Holy. It’s precious and worth giving up everything our flesh desires, everything we cling to that doesn’t have eternal value. Jesus likens the kingdom of heaven to finding a buried treasure, something we knew was there. A treasure we sought out, pursued it, followed the clues… or perhaps we just stumbled upon it without really knowing we were looking for it… or so desperately needed it. Part of our testimony is how we found it, but the greatest thing is, we knew how precious it was. We were ready to give up everything we had, completely and totally surrendering ourselves to have this precious treasure as our own. We hide our precious treasure in our heart, but share its value. It’s not ours to give away, but it is ours to show, like a ‘great reveal’ to everyone. Some folks don’t even know to look for it. Once they get a glimpse, their hope is revived and they pursue it, too. Lord, we want to see and hear what You have for us about the kingdom of heaven. We know how precious it is, if the thought of it has grown dull, lacking vibrance, Father, would You remind us to clean our ‘glasses’… for the kingdom of heaven, never loses its Light, it’s our Hope… His Promise to us.
