As a sister of a brother that is Downs, most of the time, they have very sheltered and unassuming approaches. As far as what the general population did/didnt do, I would not depend on them to be protectors of my brother who is now almost 54 and has Alzheimer’s. He used to be able to get around like that. We never allowed him to travel about by himself. I am 7 years older and our other sis is 9 years older. We were more like 2 replacement mothers instead of sisters! Stealing a phrase that didn’t come from me, “If you see something, say something “!!!!
