Video voyeurism laws — Federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1801) and nearly every state’s laws make it a crime to knowingly capture images of a person’s private areas (nude or partially undressed) without consent in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. A bedroom qualifies, and if the recording captures any undressing, changing, or intimate moments (common risks in a bedroom setting), this becomes a serious felony in many jurisdictions, often classified as voyeurism or invasion of privacy. Even if the minor is clothed at all times, many state laws (e.g., Arizona’s A.R.S. § 13-3019) prohibit secret filming or viewing in a bedroom or similar private location.

Young man, you are a minor living in your parents home. It is their property and with today’s technology they can put cameras wherever they want anywhere in their house. You’re not gonna take anything back.

If you have had a trusting, loving relationship it should be easy to have a cpnversation about privacy and get an agreement that you both believe is best. You can then address Trust, goodness, kindnesses with family. Lovingly discuss privacy, freedom of speech, etc. No parent should sneak and hide cameras to spy on their own children. the parent’s job is to set the rules and teach children even teens to obey and/ir discuss or negotiate the different views. Parents need to learn to be good parents also. Sneaking it doing things like candid cameras could break any possibility of restoring them to a trusting relationship even with apologies. 🩵💚❤️💜💙

Address it.. there’s laws against recording/spying on individuals! One even better, notify the police so there’s record of their activity in case of your death, etc.

You live under their roof. They can do that! You don’t like it move out and pay your own way! Period!

What if it wasn’t your parents? What if it was your brother’s best friend trying to see something to get his jollies off? Don’t assume. Bring it to the light immediately!
