That's my dad army veteran retired from the Carpenters Union did everything right 6 days a week 10-hour days the last 15 years they had to retire two years early cuz of Parkinson's and diabetes and dementia all I want is a home to bring them to he's in a nursing home right now his quality life is horrible.... I'm reaching out for help I want to bring him home but I have no home to bring him to... we rented for 20 years the market's gotten so bad in Oregon now we're homeless cuz our landlord sold her house there's a GoFundMe on Facebook for Allen Ingram.... if anybody can help it would be great and if you can't please just pray he's greatest man I can ever imagine and it kills me that I can't bring him home and I didn't make better decisions... last few years of his life he did Parkinson's awareness concerts and I thought about was others does anybody out there that can help it would be amazing thanks for listening

Chris Ingram, as a disabled veteran...a veteran advocate... a retired Social Worker and Independent Paralegal, I find your post to be very disconcerting. You say you "we" are homeless because, " I didn't make better decisions". Based on my educational and work experience I find this GO FUND ME plea highly suspicious. Quite frankly, I see it as a willingness to expoit your father's circumstances for your own financial benefit !

I’m sorry brother . Seems like it’s always the good ones that have bad shit happen to them . My pops built submarines for 53 years, he got about a year or retirement and stroked out a couple times . Luckily I was able to keep him in HIS home and he was able to die here . He was petrified of anything with a medical setting and I promised him I wouldn’t leave him in one of those places . I may not have been the best son but one thing I am proud of is be able to keep him in the home he built with his bare hands . I know your across the country but I have hospital bed and all kinds of handicap accessories . If anyone needs anything lemme know . These social workers will tell you there are all these programs to help out but that’s all BULLSHIT! They wanted me to pay a healthcare worker $40/hr to sit with him . If they have any assets at all the government wants that shit . It’s sad but there is NO help for the people that deserve it!

Go to your local veterans organization. Ask to speak with a service officer. They can tell you how togethelp.

No homes for vets! Yet we house illegals n welfare recipients! Low income all so! But no veterans housing! Don’t blame trump! Out in Cali. A huge estate was left to vets! But , democrats refused n turned it into a college!
