This description sounds like a cop who is just trying to do his/her job, which I thank them for and have no objection to. Unfortunately, there seem to be quite a few cops who do not hold themselves to such a standard. Many spouses watch their loved one walk out the door, never knowing if it might be the last time they will see them alive. Yes, cops deserve much more respect than they get, but since their job is to protect and serve they must hold themselves, and be held, to a higher standard than is the general public. Cops, like doctors, sometimes deal with people in the worst possible day/night of their lives. We, the public they protect and serve, should be praying for these men and women, that God will keep them safe and strong as they do their jobs.
