A widely discussed lesson from the period that lead to Hitlers rise is that many ordinary German citizens later felt regret for remaining silent while authoritarian power expanded and persecution intensified.

The writer is exactly right about this. Nobody spoke up and did anything when Obama was taking our rights away. I now know that we should’ve spoken up. Thank God we have President Trump to defend us now.

We don’t take crime seriously in the United States, if your rich you can get away with anything! And lawyers please down cases so much that crimes aren’t punishable anymore, they also get out with good behavior and then repeat the crimes! Example the last home grown terrorist shooting!

The Democrats mirrored the Nazi regime until Trump showed up to stop them. Not saying he acts better but just goes to show how willingly Americans will follow their leaders.

Have you studied German history, after WW1, the treaty of Versailes, the country was decimated. Key Provisions of the Treaty
The treaty imposed severe terms on Germany, divided into several main categories:
• Territorial Changes — Germany lost about 13% of its pre-war territory and 10-12% of its population:
• Alsace-Lorraine returned to France.
• Parts of western Prussia and Posen given to Poland (creating the “Polish Corridor” for Poland’s access to the Baltic Sea, separating East Prussia from the rest of Germany).
• Eupen-Malmédy to Belgium.
• Northern Schleswig to Denmark (after plebiscite).
• All overseas colonies surrendered and redistributed as League of Nations mandates (mostly to Britain and France).
• The Saar region placed under League administration (with France controlling its coal mines) for 15 years.
• The Rhineland demilitarized (no German troops or fortifications allowed near the French border).

The Occupation of the Ruhr (also known as the Ruhrbesetzung in German) was a major crisis in the early Weimar Republic era. It occurred when French and Belgian troops militarily occupied Germany’s heavily industrialized Ruhr region from January 11, 1923, to August 25, 1925 (about 2.5 years). This event stemmed directly from the harsh terms of the Treaty of Versailles and is often seen as one of the most traumatic episodes for Germany in the interwar period
