When I went to the shelter that day, I knew1 was going to save a life, but I didn't expect that life to cling to me so tightly, so quickly The moment I saw him, this German Shepherd with sad vet hopeful eyes, he chose me. He pressed his nose against the bars, wagged his tail softly, and at that moment. I knew-I couldn't leave without him. The ride home should have been iust a simple trip, but he had other plans. The moment the car started moving, he iumped onto the front seat, then onto me, wrapping his paws around my shoulders and resting his head on mine as if to make sure 1 wouldn't disappear. As if he was saying "You are my family now, and I will never let go." = I could feel his heavy breathing, his heart racing against my back, but he wasn't afraid He was ready. Ready to finally live a life filled with love and freedom. And 1 was ready tc give him all of that.
