I like immigrants, too, when they come here legally. No country on earth has open borders. America should not and cannot be the exception. Our immigration laws are relatively lenient compared to most countries, who have quotas, education, language, professional expertise requirements, etc.

My dad and his family went through Ellis Island!!! Had to speak some English before coming here, read and write English or get an Education. He had to quit school to work to support the family during War Time Italy !!!!! My father became a US Citizen and went into the Service and was in the Korean War! His mom and sisters worked in Sweat Shops in horrible conditions in Hoboken New Jersey!!!!! My dad and his family never ever went on Welfare unlike the trash Immigrants today!!!!!!!!
