2 Corinthians 5:21 “… all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself…”. And “It was God personally present in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself…”. So “we’re Christ’s ambassadors…” for the purpose of reconciliation to God. The part we play is big to Him but really quite small if we put everything on a scale. We can’t buy our way into heaven with anything we have, it’s us He wants. To Him, we’re priceless. God had a plan, He put in it motion…beginning with Creation, perfection. Free will in mankind was always part of the plan. He wanted us to be free to choose, to have a desire for goodness and righteousness. He is the Giver of good things… our part in all of it? Our part is to want it, too, to believe in Him, to trust Him, and to surrender our body soul and mind to Him… to Righteousness. He does it all, our only part is to say ‘I do’ to Jesus. In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he causes us to remember the sacrifice of One Who knew no sin in order for us to become righteous through Him, becoming examples of the righteousness of God. Something we can’t do without Him in us, something we’re powerless to accomplish in our own strength. Our righteousness, on our own is as ‘filthy rags’. Have we realized who we are without Him? In all humility, do we praise Him for all good things… and thank Him for the hard things that grow our faith? Are we sold out to Jesus… So we can be ambassadors for Christ? Are we quick to confess, repent… and receive His forgiveness when convicted of our own sin? Lord… thank You 🙇‍♀️ … we approach the throne of grace, knowing we can’t even be here without You allowing us in. What You want is what we desire. Help us when we miss the mark. Shine Your Light on the path we’re to take, the one that’s right in the middle of Your Will!
