Saul of Tarsus wasn't searching for Jesus - he was running from Him. He rode toward Damascus with authority in his hands and anger in his heart, convinced he was doing God a favor by destroying the church. He was educated, disciplined, and absolutely certain he was right. But sincerity doesn't equal truth… and being convinced doesn't mean being correct. Then suddenly - everything changed. A light from heaven shattered the sky. Brighter than the sun. Stronger than his will. It knocked him to the ground and stripped away every illusion he had built his life on. From that glory came a voice: “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Notice this: Jesus didn’t say, “Why are you persecuting My people?” He said, “Why are you persecuting Me?” n that moment, Saul realized something that changed him forever - he wasn’t fighting for God… he was fighting against Him. The miracle of grace is Jesus didn't destroy him. He confronted him. The same light that knocked him down… called him by name. That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for you to find Him - He intervenes. He steps into your path. He interrupts your plans. He breaks through your certainty. Not to crush you… but to save you. Saul went into that moment blind - but he left seeing more clearly than ever before. Real conversion isn’t behavior modification, it’s collision with truth. It’s when the God you thought you understood… reveals who He really is. When that happens, there’s only one right response: “Lord… what do You want me to do?” - Acts 9:6. The man who came to destroy the church… became the man who would build it. That’s what happens when Jesus meets a person on the road they never planned to surrender. He’s still doing it in hearts around the world today.
