Matthew 7:22-23 keeps me awake at night. Jesus says that on judgment day, many will say, "Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name and drive out demons and perform many miracles?" And He will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" Read that again. These aren't atheists. These are church people. These are pastors, worship leaders, and people doing HUGE things "for" God. But they entirely missed having a RELATIONSHIP with Him. We can be so busy building our Christian resumes, volunteering, and judging others, while our actual hearts are completely disconnected from Jesus.
