What actually happened between Good Friday and Easter Sunday? (Did Jesus go to Hell?) Okay theological question for everyone. The Apostles' Creed savs "He descended into hel." 1 Peter 3:19 savs He went and "made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits." What exactly was happening for those three days in the tomb? Was He suffering in hell? Was He breaking down the gates of Hades to rescue the Old Testament saints? The church barely talks about Holy Saturday. t's like we just skip from the cross to the empty tomb and ignore the massive spiritual war that happened in the underworld in between. Thoughts??
