Morning Reflection: The words of Amos cut through illusion like a blade. In Book of Amos 5, God is not rejecting worship itself—He is rejecting disconnected worship. Songs were sung. Offerings were given. Gatherings were full. Yet beneath the surface, injustice thrived unchecked. This reveals something sobering: outward devotion can coexist with inward corruption. A person can speak holy words and still live unjustly. That contradiction is what God calls detestable. True worship is not measured by volume, emotion, or ritual precision—but by alignment. If hands are lifted in praise but used in exploitation, the praise becomes noise. If prayers are spoken but the heart tolerates dishonesty, the prayer becomes empty. “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” (Amos 5:24). This is the worship God desires—a life where integrity flows continuously, not selectively. This morning, the question is not Did I worship? but Did my life agree with my worship? Examine your dealings, your words, your hidden thoughts. Where there is compromise, bring it into the light. Where there is injustice—however small—correct it. Because when righteousness and worship meet, heaven listens.
