Worship is not just singing songs about God or raising your hands in church. Worship is supposed to come from a heart that is really trying to love God and do what is right. Imagine if a kid told their mom, “I love you,” but then kept being mean, lying, and disobeying her all the time. The words might sound nice, but their actions would show something different. God says worship can be like that too. In the Bible, Jesus said: “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” — Book of Matthew 15:8 That means some people said good things about God, but inside they were not really close to Him. Real worship happens when God changes the inside of a person. It means: * trying to be kind * telling the truth * helping others * saying sorry when you do wrong * loving God even when nobody is watching Then singing, praying, and praising God become real because they come from a changed heart. So worship is kind of like fruit growing on a healthy tree. The songs are the fruit, but love, honesty, and obedience are the roots. If the roots are healthy, the fruit will be real too.
