It is stated that the righteous will live by faith. Romans 1:17 states that this is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” What did the apostle mean when he said that the righteous shall live by faith? Before you can truly understand your faith, you must first determine its origin. Is it a product of your own desires and impulses, or was it bestowed upon you by a higher power? The answer lies within the scriptures. The faith you receive is a divine gift, bestowed upon you by the Holy Spirit. The Lord infuses your heart with the fruits of the Holy Spirit, transforming you into the image of God. Through these fruits, you can walk in a manner pleasing to God. However, if the Holy Spirit does not reside within you, all your efforts for the Lord are futile. Let’s examine a few examples of individuals who serve Christ through their own desires and impulses, yet still claim to be the children of God. These individuals serve God from the flesh, rather than through the Holy Spirit. Let’s observe the consequences of their actions. Many will stand before the Lord, pleading their case, claiming to have believed in God. However, in reality, their actions are merely acknowledgments of the Lord without the presence of the Holy Spirit. They have never received His Holy Spirit. Many will argue that we have prophesied in your name. However, prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. These individuals are undoubtedly those who spread the message of Christ. Nevertheless, even while doing this, Jesus tells them as follows. Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (See comment for the rest)
