Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” I encourage you to read the full account. Those who believe that by performing works generated only by the flesh proves you are a child of God are greatly deceived. Listen to Christ when some come to him proclaiming all their deeds before Him. One came saying, “ Lord, have I not prophesied in your name? Trying to justify their belief in Christ for what they have done in Christ’s name. Only to hear the words of Christ saying, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” One will say, “In your name have I cast out devils?” Though they are capable of doing such things, they were told, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” One will proclaim to have done many wonderful works in the name of the Lord only to hear the same words also. Then in Luke we see those who have relied on communion with Him to prove their fellowship with him. Luke 13:26 “Then shall you begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence,” This is the observance of the Lord’s Supper. These are meant with the words of Christ, “I tell you, I know you not whence you are; depart from me, all you workers of iniquity. Ask yourself why did Christ reject them? They all were doing things in the name of Christ but yet they were rejected. You hear those who tell you if you do these things shows your relationship with Christ. Many believe this also. But all of them had the same flaw. They did not know Christ nor did Christ know them. To the understanding of this is in the words Christ spoke. In every case he said I know you not. Now if you truly understood eternal life and when one receives it you would then understand why they were rejected.
