Some people are not confused about right and wrong. They just get quiet when the truth asks them to stand somewhere uncomfortable. They will defend peace when it benefits them. They will defend fairness when it costs them nothing. They will defend truth only when it does not expose the people, systems, or ideas they already made room for. That is not conviction. That is convenience. And convenience has helped too many wrong things survive.
