Now, however, the company is rolling out a new update that could make it easier for millions of viewers to find content that fits their needs. Netflix recently highlighted a series of accessibility improvements, including expanded language tools and a new search feature that many subscribers may not even realize has already arrived. Netflix Rolls Out New Language Search Features According to Netflix, nearly one-third of its subscribers use accessibility features while watching movies and TV shows. To help those viewers navigate its massive content library, the company has introduced a new Search by Language feature. The tool allows subscribers to search not only by a show's original language, but also by available accessibility options, including subtitles, dubbing, and audio descriptions. That means viewers can more easily discover international hits like Squid Game or The Chestnut Man based on the languages and accessibility features available to them. Netflix currently offers subtitles, audio descriptions, dubbing, and other accessibility options across thousands of titles and dozens of languages. Accessibility Use Continues to Grow The company revealed that accessibility features are being used more than ever. Netflix said it added more than 13,000 hours of audio descriptions across 34 languages in 2025 alone. Several of the platform's biggest recent hits have also benefited from those tools. According to Netflix, shows such as Squid Game and Adolescence rank among the most-viewed titles watched with subtitles enabled, while series including Wednesday and When Life Gives You Tangerines are among the most commonly dubbed.
