#HeavenlyHostsBlack Do you think that the 12 Disciples and Yeshuah (Jesus) were blond haired and blue eyed or more dark skinned and curly haired like a member of a tribe of Northern Africa? Is it more likely that the portrayal of the Jesus used in the artifacts and murals is anthropologically and geographically incorrect? It is also possible that the same effigies were found to have been whitewashed in other instances where they were originally Black. This brings to mind some interesting questions about the purpose behind this particular whitewashing of the Pieta. In other parts of Europe (Russia, included) the Black Madonna is still worshipped by many… but not in the United States. The color of the Black skin itself is viewed as a curse of birth even in the context of Divinity… ponder this question 🙋🏾. I’m curious as to what your opinion is on this topic and how you view the portrait of the Last Supper as I shared it. What was the first impression for you?
