Everyone always talks about Moses parting the sea, but as a guy who loves physics, the story of King Hezekiah completely breaks my brain. Hezekiah is dying, and God promises to heal him. Hezekiah asks for a sign. The prophet Isaiah asks God to make the shadow on the sundial go backward ten steps. And God actually does it. Think about the astrophysics required to make that happen. God literally halted the rotation of the Earth, reversed its spin, managed the unimaginable gravitational and atmospheric chaos that would cause across the globe, and then started it spinning forward again. Just to reassure one sick man! We serve a Creator who casually rewrites the laws of thermodynamics just to keep a promise.
