Sometimes I look at the direction our culture is heading, the politics, the media mocking God... and I just feel this deep sense of dread. It feels like we are completely surrounded by enemies and totally outnumbered. Elisha’s servant felt the exact same way in 2 Kings 6. He woke up, looked outside, and saw their city surrounded by a massive, heavily armed Syrian military. He panicked. But Elisha was perfectly calm. He just prayed, "Lord, open his eyes." Suddenly, the servant could see the spiritual realm. The entire mountain behind them was filled with an ocean of angelic horses and chariots of literal fire, completely dwarfing the human army. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." Stop letting the news terrify you.
