Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait for the Lord, who expect and hope in Him shall change…”, our power and strength renewed. A Hope not seen by the flesh, but known by experience through Faith…a Hope that doesn’t disappoint. We wait…with Hope for what He’s promised. Eager anticipation and expectation fuel our desire to glorify Him. What do we do while we wait for Him? Why the need for change? What would be the purpose of renewing, refreshing His strength and power to surrendered hearts if we weren’t meant to use it? While we wait, we walk in the Spirit, using the strength and power He provides to accomplish His will… and what is that if not to be His servants? Spreading the gospel, loving one another into the kingdom, being the ‘Jesus’ people need to see? Our daily lives, our families, our jobs provide ways to serve Him, to walk according to His will. To ‘bloom where we’re planted’. As Eagles rise in flight toward the sun, we, too, run without growing weary. He calls us, gives us what we need, telling us to never grow weary of doing good things. Everything we do, we do for Him…for His glory. Perhaps we’ll even be surprised what our flesh, when led by the Spirit, can accomplish. Lord, refresh us and renew us according to Your will and Your purpose. Remind us, we can do all things through You, it’s You Who strengthens us, empower us and gives us purpose. Remind us to chase after the heavenly treasures and let go of the earthly ones.
