The more I look into Elizabeth Siders’ family history, the more questions I have. We know Jeremy Russell is Elizabeth’s brother, and he claims the family lost contact with her for around 15 years. We’ve also heard allegations that Elizabeth wanted nothing to do with her family. But these old Facebook posts tell another side. Her mother, Lorie Russell, continued wishing Elizabeth happy birthday, telling her she missed her and loved her. Jeremy’s post also sounds like a brother who believed his sister had become trapped in her situation. Whatever caused the separation, one thing stands out to me: Elizabeth may have walked away from her family, but it doesn’t appear her family ever completely walked away from her.
