Isaiah 60:3 Isaiah prophesies, “It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be firmly established as the highest of mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall come and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the House of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the Law and instruction, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem“. Jeremiah calls Jerusalem, The Throne of the Lord. He prophesies of a time when nations shall be gathered to it, a time when nations will walk after the stubbornness of their own evil hearts no more. Before the light, Isaiah refers to a time when we were covered by the darkness, he tells us to arise from the depression and frustration in which circumstances have kept us, rising to a new life. Isaiah writes “Shine with the glory of the Lord, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” The prophecy is of a time that begins in darkness, it covers the Earth. Then a time when the Lord will arise upon Jerusalem, a time when His glory is seen…a time when there is no more darkness. O, glorious day! It’s the day we hope for, the day we wait for with eager anticipation. We pray for the nations to see and receive the Light. We can be thankful, while we wait for Him to come again, the Light lives in us. Perhaps the big picture is He allows us to experience darkness so when the Light comes, we’ll run to it. Nations will desire it, people will hunger for it, Hope will come alive and unimaginable Joy and Peace will be raised from the dead. Every day is given over to God‘s timeline. Today, we see darkness, in futility, trying to overpower the Light. We know how this age ends and the new one begins. We anxiously await the Second coming of our King Who promises to rule and reign in Goodness and Light, with authority, and power.
