Queen Suthida of Thailand, 48, has begun training to fly a Saab Gripen fighter jet. If she completes the program, she will become the first reigning queen in the world to pilot a fighter aircraft. The training runs from August 20 to September 4 at Wing 7 in Surat Thani, home to the Royal Thai Air Force's Gripen fleet. She is working through the air force's standard training stages with flight instructors and aviation specialists guiding her toward a solo flight. Queen Suthida already holds private, commercial and airline transport pilot licenses, and has previously flown as a co-pilot on the royal Boeing 737. Before starting on the Gripen, she trained on the L-39 jet trainer and completed multiple flight simulator sessions. #News #Interesting #fblifestyle
