I ended up taking down that statement and fund raising post late last night after getting multiple people in my inbox from either family members or friends to fakes pretending to be apart of the family. There was a lot of chaos that unfolded yesterday in my inbox to say the least. I will say this! I do not want to be apart of the family drama nor be a target. But most of all, I definitely don’t want to be apart of a source that posts lies, scams, spam, posting a biased stories, etc. All I wanted to do was provide support and resources to the family after loosing a loved one along with also being able to provide statements from family members and friends. This was something new I was wanting to get into as I would like to do more than just show up at scenes but after the experience I’ve had doing this, I’m just going to stick with what I do and let the TV News handle the rest of the bs. Only thing is, TV News just wants a story. They don’t really want to provide those resources for people who had been affected. Example, house fire or apartment fire as there is more resources available than just American Red Cross. Example, loss of a loved one in an incident. Example, vehicle collisions or vehicle fire (loss of transportation). Final Example, loss of shelter. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and note that I want what is best for the quality of the page, followers, and those affected by an event. It would be nice to make an impact or a difference in our community.
