Columbus didn’t discover America. An Irish monk from Kerry did — 500 YEARS earlier. 🇮🇪⛵ St. Brendan the Navigator, 6th century. He set sail in a leather currach with 14 monks. His writings described crystal pillars in the sea, monsters, and a paradise across the ocean. For 1,400 years people called it a myth. In 1976, explorer Tim Severin REBUILT Brendan’s leather boat from the 6th century and sailed it to Newfoundland. He proved it was possible all along.
