MY PAST HAS NO POWER OVER MY PRESENT. 🙏🏽 One of the greatest forms of freedom is realizing that you no longer have to explain yourself to your past, defend yourself against people who refuse to let it go, or keep reliving what God has already brought you through. Not everyone will understand your healing, and not everyone will accept the version of you that no longer reacts the way you once did. But that is okay. You are not here to convince people that you have changed. Your peace, your choices, and the way you move forward will speak for themselves. When you give your past to God, you stop allowing yesterday to dictate tomorrow. You can forgive without reopening doors, release people without carrying hatred, and move forward without needing everyone to understand your side of the story. What God has brought you through is part of your testimony, not a weapon for others to use against you. The past is a lesson, not a life sentence. What is behind you has already happened, but what lies ahead is still in God's hands. Walk forward with a clear heart, a clean conscience, and faith in the One who knows the truth even when others choose to believe a lie. You do not need revenge. You do not need validation. You do not need to prove your worth to anyone. You need God, discernment, and the courage to keep moving forward. “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”Philippians 3:13 Let the past remain in the past. Let God handle what you cannot change and never allow anyone to convince you that the person you were is more powerful than the person God is helping you become. I have made peace with what is behind me. My future belongs to God, and my past no longer has permission to control my present. PERIOD. 🙌🏽
