Hebrews 6:10 The writer of Hebrews begins with a reminder of the foundation of our faith and how we turned to God through repentance. He’s encouraging us to get past the elementary stages in Christ’s teachings and move toward spiritual maturity, not forgetting what we know, but moving forward, using it as we walk out our spirit filled lives. We’re to be steadfast in our faith, to be strengthened and hold on, to persevere and endure. He is El Roi, the God Who Sees…us. He sees what we do with the love He’s poured into us, how we share it with others, particularly those of the faith in ministering to their needs. If we’ve ever wondered what the purpose of our life is, we can stop looking. We can stop striving over this timeless question as He’s already given us the answer. Our purpose is to serve Him and serve others. How we do that is embedded in our uniqueness, the creativity He used as He knit us together in the womb. As we move toward a maturity in our faith, the things we do change, the things we pray for are…different, we want what really matters to God, and what lines up with the Hope we have in salvation. We can know, most assuredly, He’s not going to let us go… Lord, we thank You for watching over us. We thank You for Your guidance and Your encouragement to grow stronger in the faith, to make choices based on what we know of You. Show us opportunities to serve You through serving the needs of Your people and plant in us the seed the desires Your Righteousness above all else.
