give thanks IN everything, not FOR everything

Important reminder with my morning coffee: It says give thanks IN everything, not FOR everything. I don't have to be thankful for the flat tire or the heartache. But I can be thankful in the middle of it—that He is with me, that He is faithful. That shift changes everything. Good morning, friends! #1_Thessalonians_5_18
