Squirrels kept lining up for my old .22

Ever had critters line up for harvest day? Took my beat-up .22 out early one morning and dropped a squirrel. Sat on a rock to clean it when another one popped out on a branch, chattering at me like crazy. Shot him too. Same thing happened again while cleaning the second one. This cycle kept repeating - every time I'd sit down to field dress one, another angry squirrel would show up to scold me. Could've stayed there all day collecting them if I didn't have places to be.
