Did anyone else notice Carly getting called 'fat' multiple times on the show?

Have been rewatching some episodes of iCarly lately, and something started to stand out: there are quite a few subtle (and not-so-subtle) jabs about Carly’s weight and appearance. In one episode, when it’s super hot and Freddie lifts Carly onto a counter, there’s a comment about how heavy she is. Then in the iHalloween episode, Spencer makes a joke about her looking like “a fatty sushi” (or something similar). There are also repeated remarks about her being flat-chested. Sure, it's scripted comedy, but looking back, some of it feels unnecessarily mean-spirited, especially considering the show's young audience.
