Is true friendship truly rare?

Growing up, I always believed that I’d experience at least one meaningful friendship in my life—a bond where I could truly connect with someone without fear of betrayal. This belief was fueled by media portrayals, which I now realize were naive. As an adult, I’ve tried to open up and nurture several “friendships,” but none have lasted. Sometimes I wonder if it’s my fault—I wasn’t exactly the social butterfly in kindergarten or school. Maybe it’s too late now. So, is true friendship rare, or is it just impossible for someone like me? I’m starting to think that while friendship might not be rare in general, it could be unattainable for people like me who struggle with social connections. What do you think? Have you found lasting friendships, or do you find them hard to come by too? Let’s discuss! 👇 #Friendship #SocialStruggles #TrueConnection #Loneliness #Adulting

Owning a house is seriously the best decision ever and renting is a LIE (imo)

Okay, I'm just three weeks into living in my new house, and I have to say this: it's the absolute best thing that's happened in my life. And I honestly can't believe we ever let people think renting is just as good. I totally get why some folks are scared of buying. I rented in my early twenties, then had a condo in my mid-twenties, and finally bought this house in my early thirties. I was actually pretty nervous about it, knowing all the talk about risks and headaches. But man, the perks are just unreal. No noise from upstairs, downstairs, or side neighbors. That alone is worth everything to me. Then there's our own backyard, perfect for letting the dog play any time. Plenty of room to host friends and family. Even a workshop for my tools and a two-car garage. Now, it hasn't been completely problem-free. We've already found a small ant issue in the kitchen, and the AC condenser is making a weird noise. But even with those little things, owning a home is genuinely the best. What do you all think? Has anyone else felt this strongly after buying a house #HomeownerLife #RealEstate #FirstHome #Adulting #BestDecisionEver #HomeSweetHome #Home
