4 DAY NAPA VALLEY ITINERARY!

Wine, cheese, and breathtaking views - Napa Valley has it all! I recently spent 4 unforgettable days in this picturesque region, and I'm excited to share my itinerary and tips with you. So, let's raise a glass and dive into the world of Napa Valley! Getting to Napa: 🚗 Renting a car may not be practical if you plan on wine tasting. Instead, we relied on rideshare services. You'll find plenty of Ubers and Lyfts at SFO, and the ride to Napa cost around $90. Keep in mind that traffic can affect travel time and cost. Where to Stay: 🏨 We chose to stay in downtown Napa for its convenience and accessibility. The Cambria was a great choice, offering modern amenities and an excellent breakfast. However, if you want a more luxurious experience, consider The Meritage Resort and Spa or The Archer Hotel. 4 Day Napa Itinerary: 🍷 Day 1: Arrive in Napa, check-in, and head to Domaine Carneros for a sparkling wine tasting. Enjoy dinner at Tarla Mediterranean Grill. 🍷 Day 2: Start in Castaligo with a tasting at Larkmead, then visit Charles Krug and V. Sattui in Saint Helena. Finish off the day with a tasting and cave experience at Del Dotto Estates, and dinner at Farmstead. 🍷 Day 3: After a hot air balloon ride, visit Frog Leap and Far Niente for tastings. Indulge in a relaxing massage at The Meritage Resort and Spa, and savor drinks at Sky and Vine rooftop bar. End the day with dinner at Oenotri. 🍷 Day 4: Explore Napa by bike on the Napa Valley Vine Trail. Stop at Bouchon Bakery in Yountville for breakfast, visit Oxbow Market, and enjoy wine tastings at Alpha Omega and St. Clair Brown Winery. Finally, check out of your hotel and head back to San Francisco. Make sure to book your winery reservations in advance. Tastings can range from $40 to $150, but many wineries waive the fee if you join their wine club. Don't forget to relax and take in the stunning views. Trailhead Sign and Walk: - Follow the trailhead sign for Kirby Cove, initiating a 0.8-mile curving walk downhill. - Enjoy picturesque views and discover abandoned missile sites along the way. 3. Alternative Parking: - If parking near Battery Spencer is challenging, explore the parking lot near the bridge at the base of the hill. - This parking is free and unlimited, offering an alternative starting point for your journey. 4. 🌊 Half Moon Bay Seaside Adventure: Stroller-Friendly Family Day Trip in the Bay Area!

Hello, everyone! Today, I want to share with you the Coastal Trail in Half Moon Bay, California. Take your kids and let's explore this beautiful place together! 🚗 🅿️ Location: 1001 Miramontes Point Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019 Firstly, let's talk about the parking lot. It's relatively small and requires some luck to find a spot, but don't worry, the breathtaking views make it all worth it. My family was lucky enough to find a parking space and began this exciting journey along the coast. 😄 🌊 Coastal Trail: A picturesque trail along the Bay Area shoreline This Coastal Trail is perfect for a family outing with kids as it is stroller-friendly. Along the way, we enjoyed the magnificent waves and soaring seagulls. The left side offered a view of the azure ocean while the right side showcased charming houses. It was truly a feast for the eyes. As we walked further, we arrived at the iconic spot in Half Moon Bay, overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean, with lush green grassland and The Ritz-Carlton to the right. 😄 🍽️ Delicious Lunch: Barbara's Fishtrap Our stomachs started growling, so we headed to Barbara's Fishtrap located at 281 Capistrano Rd, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. The fried shrimp and calamari were incredibly delicious, especially their clam chowder, which was simply irresistible. We specifically chose outdoor seating to enjoy the view of the sea while indulging in our meal. Although we couldn't secure a reservation at The Ocean Terrace, our dining experience at Barbara's Fishtrap left us more than satisfied. 😄 🛍️ Seafood Harvest: The Pier After our meal, we went to the nearby pier, where we found freshly caught fish, crabs, sea urchins, and more. We bought some incredibly fresh fish to steam and enjoy at home during the evening. Just imagine the enticing aroma of the seafood dishes. It's truly something to look forward to. 😄 The whole journey started at around 8 am and lasted until around 1 pm. When we got back home, the kids took a 3-hour nap. It was a fulfilling and joyful day! If you're looking for a family-friendly destination, consider the Coastal Trail in Half Moon Bay. The beautiful scenery, delicious seafood, and enjoyable family time will surely leave you with wonderful memories.
