Ghost in the Silence.
You light the screen with sudden fire,
then leave me waiting in the quiet wire.
A voice that comes, then fades away,
a half-kept promise, a fleeting stay.
You open doors, then shut them fast,
a ghost in the present, a shadow of past.
Your words are warm, your silence cold,
a story begun, but never told.
I stand between the here and gone,
holding on though the thread feels wrong.
For love is steady, not hide-and-seek,
not a whisper today and gone by next week.
So I breathe, release, and start to see,
your silence says more than your words to me.
I’ll honor myself, I’ll learn to let go,
for ghosts can’t love—only haunt what they know.
