My Dog Wags His Tail, But What About Cats?
Okay, so I grew up with dogs—tail wagging means pure joy, right? Fast forward to my first visit to a friend’s place, and her cat starts swishing its tail like it’s conducting an orchestra. I’m thinking, "Aww, it likes me!" Turns out, nope. Cat tail wagging is a whole different language.
Apparently, a flicking tail can mean irritation, curiosity, or even "back off, human." Why are cats so cryptic? Dogs are just out here broadcasting their feelings like it’s a live TV show, but cats? It’s like trying to decode a secret message every time they move.
So, if you’re a dog person suddenly thrown into the world of cats, don’t assume a wagging tail means you’ve made a new friend. Sometimes, it’s more like, "You have five seconds to leave."
Anyone else been totally misled by cat body language?
